Mohamed Lembaid
EngiPhos Owner
Mohamed Lembaid is a Senior Process Engineer with over 15 years of experience in fertilizer projects, combining strong process engineering expertise with owner-side project execution, coordination, and governance. Born in Khouribga, home to the world’s largest phosphate deposit, he developed an early and lasting passion for the phosphate and fertilizer industry.
He has a proven background in ammonium nitrate, NPK plants, and limited exposure to urea processes, with extensive experience in product handling and solids handling systems, including ammonium nitrate fluid bed granulation and prilling towers, NPK granulation units, and urea fluid bed granulation. His expertise spans process technology, engineering design, and the development of advanced process tools and calculations.
Currently working within the YARA Technology and Projects Office in Brussels, Mohamed is responsible for delivering process design packages and for the review and control of key process design deliverables, including design basis documents, PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, process simulations, datasheets, and operating manuals. He ensures alignment across all project contributors, licensors, corporate safety standards, and operational philosophies.
He is an active contributor to risk assessments, HAZOP and SIL studies, and is experienced in monitoring and coordinating engineering contractors and managing multidisciplinary interfaces. His experience also includes commissioning packages, schedules and procedures, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, preparation of startup and performance tests, and project close-out activities.
